Sunday, 2/17, at 6pm, we will be visiting the Filling Station in Circleville at Community United Methodist Church, 120 North Pickaway Street. The Coffeehouse Quartet, heard at the monthly 4th Friday Coffeehouse events will be performing that evening. The Filling Station is a non traditional worship experience for all ages. Music that will energize. A message to connect your soul with God. A free casual dinner. Friendly fellowship.

Learn the Bible in 24 Hours study

The second half of the Learn the Bible in 24 Hours study will begin on Tuesday, September 11th. It is open to everyone even if you weren't a part of the original group. We will be using a video format now, so no reading is required. The class will meet each Tuesday at 7:00pm.

The first half was completed during the first part of 2007 and we took a break for the Summer.

Fall Retreat and Hocking Hills Camping Trip DETAILS

Come join us in the Hocking Hills!

We invite anyone who is young (or young at heart :-)) to join us for a weekend of fellowship, fun, and growing in our relationships with the Lord. We’ll be discussing a variety of issues that are important to us as young adults, while we explore the beauty of the Hocking Hills and grow closer to the Lord.

Directions From Ashville:
Take 23 S to the 22/56/Main St. Circleville exit
Turn Left off the exit ramp.
Follow Rt 56 through Circleville, eventually taking a slight right where 22 and 56 split
Keep going on 56—you’ll pass through Laurelville and a bunch of other po-dunk towns (and you’ll drive for about 30 minutes or more).
When you enter South Bloomingville, you’ll come to a 3-way stop. Turn to the right, following Rt. 56.
The cabin is 3.3 miles after this turn—the driveway is hard to spot as it’s on the right at a very tight angle as you go up a hill. If you see a sign for the Grouse Nest, you’ve gone just a bit too far—turn around and look for the driveway on your left now.

Fun in the Son on Sunday Nights!

Join us for Fun in the Son on Sunday nights! Starting April 22nd, we'll be playing pick-up coed softball on Sunday nights at 6pm at Ashville Park. If you’re a fun-loving person with any amount of athletic ability (or even none at all!) come join us to play in this non-competitive atmosphere. Players need to be 15 and older, but kids feel free to come and cheer!

New Sunday School Class Starting This Sunday!

Navigators Sunday School Class (formerly the Young Adult Class) will begin a study about ACTS 1-14: THE CHURCH ON FIRE Join this new 13 week study on Acts beginning TODAY in Room 709.Join us to learn more about the early church and how it was on fire for Jesus. This study of Acts 1–14 has been designed to explore the truths of Scripture and lead us to apply those truths to a real life of faith.This study is geared toward people ages early 20’s- late 30’s. Sessions will be led by various class members.

JANUARY AND FEBRUARY SUNDAY SCHOOL SCHEDULE!

Over the past two Sundays, the young adult group has met during the Sunday School Hour to determine how to proceed with our class now that we have finished the book, The Case for Christ from the Fall. The church as a whole will be beginning a small group series in March which will be the focus of our group study at that time.

With that being said, we agreed to begin a six week Bible study to get us to March. After discussing several ideas, we decided to do a group study of Galatians. (After reviewing studies of Galatians which were 11 or 13 weeks long, it seems like Philippians will fit into our compressed schedule better.) With that being said, we will begin the study of Philippians next Sunday, 1/21 during the Sunday school hour at 10am.

The teaching schedule will be as follows:

Sunday, 2/4 – Ethan Gibson
Sunday, 2/11– Erin Clark

As a reminder, Village Chapel is sponsoring a blanket drive over the next two weeks and the Sunday school class which brings in the biggest percentage of blankets based on attendance gets a free hot breakfast prepared for them.

Also, Saturday, 2/10 is the Valentine’s Day Dinner sponsored by the Fellowship Committee. It is at 5pm at the Spaghetti Warehouse on West Broad Street in Columbus. Anyone is invited to attend. Jan Schrader and Doris Conrad are taking reservations through 1/28 at the Ministry Table. The cost is $15 per person.

Bible Study Changes and Updates

Due to Vacation Bible School this week in the evening, the August 2nd Young Adult Bible Study will be cancelled. Next week it will resume but at a new location~ The Lakes at Ashton Village #1001 at Ethan Gibson and Craig Malone's apartment complex. We will continue our series on understanding the Bible basics. The lessons are set up so that new people can join at any time! Feel free to join us and bring a friend! If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.

Also, we are gearing up for a spectactular Bonfire Picnic and Games Night on Saturday, August 5th at the Gibson's house! We are planning for cornhole games, a scanvenger hunt and a campfire! Bring your family and friends and join us for an evening of fellowship and fun. Its 6-9pm.

July 27th FREE 104.9 The River Concert at Pickerington Violet Festival
Join us for the 104.9 The River sponsored concert with Matthew West (Only Grace, Next Thing You Know). Meet at 6:30 pm at Ethan Gibson’s apt (800 Long St #1001) to carpool to Pickerington Violet Festival. If you plan to drive, the festival is at Pickerington North football field. August 5th 6-9 pm Picnic and Games
Join us for a family fun event! On Saturday, August 5th make plans to join us at Brenda & David Gibson’s house for a cookout with fun games and activities for the whole family. The Young Adult Ministry is geared for anyone from college-age to young adults (18 -35+). Each month is filled with many opportunities to get involved from events such as Bible Study, Praise and Worship, Wiffle ball & Sports, Movie Night, Prayer, Missions and so much more!

Weekly events include:

College Age Bible Study (ages 18-23): Starting Sunday, July 9 location/time TBA. Join us as Dave Pettengill and others lead a Bible Study relevant to college-age young adults. No registration is necessary, you can drop in anytime. For more info contact Dave.
Young Adult Bible Study (ages 24- 35+): Starting Wednesday, July 12 at Erin & Kyle Clark’s house at 7pm. Join us as Jason Bartholow and others lead a Young Adult Bible Study. No registration is necessary, you can drop in anytime. For more info contact Jason.
Monday Night Wiffle Ball Games: Start your week out right by joining us for a game of wiffle ball! No experience necessary as we just play for fun. Spectators needed too! Games begin June 26th and are held every other week through August at 7pm at Ethan Gibson’s appt. Contact Ethan for questions. No pre-registration necessary!

We have setup this web blog as resource in our quest to develop genuine relationships with one another and most importantly on our journey to learn more about Jesus Christ. Our community is designed to meet the needs of individuals and to walk alongside one another.

This web blog was setup as a way to ask questions, post ideas, or even to write encouragements to one another, and especially if you have appreciated a message, or learned something throughout the week that would be beneficial to others.
